Warners Picks Up The RatPac-Dune Library

Warner Bros. Pictures has exercised its right to match the winning bid and has bought the entire RatPac Dune film library – one that consists of 15-25% of seventy-six major films that Warners co-financed with the help of RatPac Dune.
Vine Alternative Investments, which controls both Village Roadshow and the Manchester Film Library, had all but agreed to a deal in the $290 million to $300 million range – the one caveat holding it up was Warners reserved the right to match which they’ve now done.
That now gives the studio all rights and revenue streams in perpetuity from the likes of movies like “Gravity,” “Wonder Woman,” “Paddington 2,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “The Man from UNCLE,” “The LEGO Movie,” “Creed,” “Godzilla,” “American Sniper,” “Tomb Raider,” “The Conjuring 2,” “Magic Mike XXL,” “Ready Player One,” “Edge of Tomorrow,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “IT” and “Dunkirk.”
