Star Wars’ John Boyega and Black Panther’s Letitia Wright are set to star in the adaptation of Katie Khan’s novel, Hold Back the Stars, a Sci-Fi love story.
As reported by THR, Hold Back the Stars “centers on a man and a woman who revisit memories of their love affair on a utopian Earth while they are trapped in the vast void of space with only 90 minutes of oxygen.”
Boyega, who has played Finn since 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Wright, who portrays Shuri from Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, will star in the film being directed by Mike Cahill, who has lead such films as 2014’s I Origins.
Letitia Wright was also part of a Black Mirror episode from 2017 and played a part in Ready Player One. Her next role will be as Shuri in the currently untitled Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019.
Boyega starred in this year’s Pacific Rim: Uprising and will reprise his role as Finn in the also untitled Star Wars: Episode IX which will be released in theaters on December 20, 2019.
Earlier this year, he also met with Marvel to potentially play a Marvel superhero in the future.
Hold Back the Stars was released in 2017 and was Katie Khan’s first novel.
