2017 hasn’t yet ended, but as always, we’re looking ahead to what the future holds. Next year is set to bring about many different blockbusters, including three Marvel movies, one DC movie, Tomb Raider, Ready Player One, The New Mutants, Rampage, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and countless others.
One other big film that’s set to hit is Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the sequel to the $1.7 billion grossing Jurassic World, which hit theaters in 2015. Given the huge amount of money that first film brought in, this sequel is undoubtedly a big deal. Yet despite how soon the film is hitting (June 2018), we still have yet to see our first taste, be it in concept art form or poster form.
Jurassic World director and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom producer Colin Trevorrrow took advantage of the holiday season to tweet out the very first footage from the film. The clip in question shows actor Chris Pratt returning as the raptor-wrangler.
It’s a quiet clip that only features the sound effects of the raptor and Pratt’s chuckling. What’s more, based on the shakiness of the camera, we wouldn’t be surprised if this turned out to be a home vide of sorts. Sadly, the video does little to actually give us insight into the plot, but baby raptors seem to be in the franchise’s future!
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
